From delicate tea cups to sturdy stoneware plates, these pieces tell the story of a bygone era and add a touch of nostalgia to any dining experience. While some may overlook them as mere relics of the past, savvy treasure hunters know that thrift stores, flea markets, and secondhand stores can be goldmines for uncovering these hidden gems.
There's an undeniable allure to vintage items like ceramic dinnerware that modern pieces often lack. Each piece carries with it a sense of historical significance and craftsmanship that's hard to replicate. Whether it's the intricate patterns of fine china or the earthy textures of rustic pottery, these pieces possess a timeless elegance that transcends trends.
Vintage dinnerware also boasts a level of durability and quality that's often missing in today's mass-produced items at big-box stores. Many older pieces were made to withstand the test of time, crafted with care and attention to detail that's become increasingly rare in our disposable culture. As a result, they often outlast their modern counterparts, making them both sustainable and environmentally friendly choices for the conscious consumer.
Part of the allure of vintage ceramic dinnerware lies in the thrill of the hunt. There's something exhilarating about scouring thrift stores and flea markets in search of those perfect pieces to add to your collection, especially at affordable prices. Each excursion is like a treasure hunt, with the possibility of stumbling upon valuable pieces or a rare find.
Shopping for vintage dinnerware allows you to exercise your creativity and individuality in ways that buying at a big box store simply can't match. Mixing and matching the vast array of patterns, colors, and styles allows you to curate a one-of-a-kind collection that reflects your unique taste and personality. Whether you prefer the sleek sophistication of mid-century modern designs or the quaint charm of floral motifs, the possibilities are endless when it comes to vintage dinnerware.
If you're ready to embark on your next thrift store visit to uncover a hidden gem, here are a few tips to help you get started:
Do Your Research: Familiarize yourself with different styles, patterns, and manufacturers of vintage ceramic dinnerware so you know what to look for.
Inspect Carefully: Take the time to carefully examine each piece for any signs of damage or wear, such as chips, cracks, or crazing. While minor flaws can add to the character of a piece, major damage may affect its usability or value.
Stay Open-Minded: Keep an open mind and be willing to look beyond the obvious choices. Sometimes the most unexpected pieces turn out to be hidden treasures.
Ask Questions: Don't hesitate to ask vendors or thrift store staff about the history or provenance of a particular piece. You never know what interesting stories you might uncover.
Have Fun: Above all, enjoy the experience! Shopping for vintage dinnerware should be a fun and enjoyable activity, so don't be afraid to embrace the thrill of the hunt.
In a world that's constantly moving forward, there's something comforting about surrounding ourselves with pieces that harken back to simpler times. Vintage ceramic dinnerware not only adds beauty and character to our dining tables but also serves as a tangible connection to the past.

]]>However, with concerns about the safety of various materials used in ceramic dishware, it's essential to delve into the question: Is ceramic dinnerware safe for food? In this blog, we will explore the health benefits of choosing ceramic tableware and address the safety concerns associated with it.
Ceramic dinnerware is made from natural materials like clay and minerals, making it a non-toxic and environmentally friendly option. Unlike some plastic dinnerware or metal alternatives, ceramics do not leach harmful chemicals into your food, ensuring that your meals remain pure and uncontaminated.
One significant health benefit of using ceramic dinnerware is its excellent heat retention properties. Ceramic dishes can evenly distribute heat, allowing your food to cook thoroughly without hot spots. Serving your meals on inexpensive ceramic dishes can even help to keep hot food hot for consumption.
This not only enhances the flavor and texture of your meals but also ensures that harmful bacteria are eliminated during the cooking process.
Using ceramic tableware is practical, as it is microwave and oven-safe, making it a convenient choice when looking to reheat or cook food. Unlike plastic plates and containers that may release harmful chemicals when exposed to heat, ceramics maintain their integrity and do not pose any health risks when used in these appliances.
The non-porous nature of glazed ceramic dinnerware makes it resistant to the absorption of liquids and, consequently, resistant to the growth of germs and bacteria. Unlike some glazed earthenware, which may contain harmful chemicals in their glazes, certified ceramic from a reputable supplier is one of the best choices for natural bacteria prevention.
This feature not only promotes food safety but also makes cleaning and maintaining ceramic plates a breeze.
As mentioned above, many modern ceramic dinnerware sets are free from harmful coatings such as lead and cadmium, which were once commonly used in the glazing process.
Manufacturers now prioritize the use of safe ceramic materials, ensuring that your ceramic dinnerware is not only beautiful but also safe for everyday use.
While ceramic dinnerware is generally safe for food, it's essential to take a few precautions to ensure the continued safety of your kitchenware:
Look for ceramics that are certified as lead-free and food-safe by reputable organizations.
Rapid changes in extremely low or high temperatures, such as placing a hot dish in cold water, can cause ceramics to crack. To prevent this, allow your dishes to cool gradually before washing.
Regularly inspect your ceramic dinnerware for any cracks or chips. While ceramics are more resilient than fine china, bone china, or porcelain dinnerware, they still require some special care. If you find any chips or cracks, it's advisable to replace the item to avoid potential health risks.
Ceramic dinnerware not only adds a touch of elegance to your dining experience but also offers a range of health benefits. Its natural composition, heat retention properties, and resistance to germs make it a safe and reliable choice for your kitchen.
By taking a few precautions, such as checking for certification and inspecting for damage, you can enjoy the health benefits of ceramic dinnerware while ensuring the safety of your meals for a lifetime to come.

]]>Read on to understand the key differences between ceramic and porcelain dinnerware.
Ceramic is a broad term that encompasses a wide range of clay-based products. It's known for its versatility, durability, and timeless appeal.
Both ceramic dinnerware and cookware tend to be staples in a chef's kitchen. Much like cast iron cookware, many seasoned cooks swear by having a versatile set of traditional ceramic cookware to use for generations to come.
Here are some key features of ceramic:
Ceramic is made from a mixture of natural ball clay, minerals, and water. This composition allows for various forms of creativity, making it a popular choice for artisans and craftsmen.
Ceramics are typically fired at lower temperatures (around 1,800 to 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit) compared to porcelain, which results in a denser, less porous material.
Ceramic products often have a slightly rustic or matte finish, which many people find charming and inviting. They come in a wide array of colors and styles, making it easy to find pieces that match your personal taste and décor.
While ceramic may be somewhat more porous than porcelain, it is still highly durable and suitable for everyday use. Proper care can extend its lifespan significantly.
Ceramic tends to be more budget-friendly than porcelain, making it an excellent choice for those looking for quality without breaking the bank.
Porcelain, on the other hand, is a type of ceramic that is known for its elegance and refined appearance in more formal dining settings.
Here are some key features of porcelain:
Porcelain cookware as well as porcelain dinnerware pieces are made from a specific type of clay known as kaolin, which is fired at higher temperatures (around 2,200 to 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit). This results in a denser, more glass-like material.
Bone china, a type of porcelain, is comprised of kaolin as well as bone ash derived from the bones of animals. This unique composition gives it an even thinner, more delicate, and more translucent surface compared to traditional porcelain tableware.
Today, there are both hard paste porcelain and soft paste porcelain options. Soft paste porcelain is a type of porcelain that was developed in Europe as an attempt to replicate the highly prized Chinese and Japanese porcelain that was imported in large quantities during the 17th and 18th centuries.
Unlike hard paste porcelain, which is made from a combination of kaolin clay and petuntse (a type of feldspathic rock), soft paste porcelain is made from a mixture of white clay, often called "pipe clay," and various types of ground glass.
Porcelain dishes have a delicate, smooth, and glossy finish that is often associated with fine china. Its translucency and pure white color make it a favorite for formal occasions and high-end tableware.
Porcelain plates are exceptionally durable and resistant to chipping and scratching. They are also highly resistant to staining due to their low porosity.
Porcelain is generally more expensive than ceramic due to its refined appearance and exceptional durability.
The choice between ceramic or porcelain dishes ultimately comes down to your personal preferences and intended use. Here are some factors to consider:
If you prefer a rustic or matte finish, ceramic may be the better choice for you. For an elegant and refined look, porcelain may fit.
For everyday dinnerware, ceramic is a practical and budget-friendly choice. Porcelain, with its durability and elegant appearance, is great for special occasions or for those who appreciate fine dining.
If you're on a tight budget, ceramic provides an excellent balance between quality and cost.
In the battle of ceramic vs porcelain, both have their merits. Ceramic offers versatility, charm, and affordability that many people find appealing.
Understanding the differences between these two materials empowers you to make the right choice for your needs and style preferences. If you're looking for beautiful dinnerware, ceramic might just be the perfect fit for you.
At HF Coors Dinnerware, we proudly embrace our heritage as a 100% made-in-the-USA brand. As a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business located in Tucson, Arizona, and holding the HUBzone certification, we are dedicated to both quality craftsmanship and supporting our community.

]]>In this blog post, we'll explore the creative and imaginative ways you can incorporate a ceramic dinnerware set into various aspects of your daily life, transforming these pieces into versatile and functional items that go beyond their traditional use in table setting.
Patterned dinnerware plates and platters can double as stunning pieces of wall art. Arrange a collection of intricately designed plates in a visually appealing pattern on your wall to create a unique and eye-catching display.
The variety of colors, patterns, and shapes found in ceramic dinnerware can add an artistic touch to any room, making your living spaces more vibrant and inviting.
Ceramic bowls aren't limited to holding food; they can also be your trusty companions during cooking and baking. Because of their durability compared to fine china or bone china, you can use ceramics as mixing bowls for ingredients, or prep stations for holding chopped vegetables and measured spices.
The sturdy and spacious nature of ceramic bowls makes them perfect for tackling various culinary tasks.
Bring a touch of luxury to your bathroom organization by repurposing ceramic dishes. Small ceramic bowls can become elegant jewelry holders, keeping your rings and earrings safe while adding a stylish touch to your vanity. Larger ceramic trays can serve as soap or toiletry organizers, adding a spa-like atmosphere to your daily routine.
Give your indoor plants a stylish home by using ceramic cups, mugs, or soup bowls as planters. The porous nature of ceramics allows for proper drainage, preventing overwatering and root rot.
Whether you're growing succulents, herbs, or small houseplants, the texture and aesthetics of ceramic dinnerware can enhance your indoor garden.
Elevate your workspace with the help of ceramic dinnerware. A ceramic cup can hold your pens and pencils, while a small plate can keep paperclips and sticky notes within easy reach.
Not only does this add a touch of sophistication to your desk, but it also keeps your essentials organized and easily accessible.
Ceramic mugs are beloved for holding our favorite warm beverages, but they can also serve as comforting companions in various scenarios. Use them as candle holders, filling your space with soft, flickering light and a cozy ambiance. As mentioned above, you can also repurpose mugs as mini planters, showcasing tiny plants on windowsills or shelves.
Ceramic dinnerware has proven time and again that its functional versatility goes well beyond an occasional dinner party. By embracing the creativity and adaptability of these pieces, you can infuse beauty and elegance into various corners of your life.
From decorative art to organizational essentials, ceramic dinnerware showcases its ability to seamlessly transition from one role to another, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The next time you consider a ceramic purchase, remember that its potential reaches far beyond the dinner plate.

]]>Gone are the days of all white plates and perfectly matched sets; now, it's all about creating a unique and personalized table setting that reflects your personality.
In this blog, we will delve into the world of mixing and matching ceramic dinnerware and discover a few tips and tricks to create a visually captivating table setting that will leave a lasting impression.
When mixing and matching ceramic dinnerware, don't be afraid to play with colors and different patterns. Choose a cohesive color palette that complements your overall theme or the ambiance you want to create without having to perfectly match dinnerware.
For example, combine solid-colored plates with patterned bowls or vice versa. Consider using a variety of patterns such as florals, geometric designs, or abstract motifs to add visual interest and depth to your dining room.
While experimenting with different colors and patterns, it's essential to have a unifying element that ties the various pieces together. This can be a common color, a specific pattern, or even a shared design feature.
For instance, you can choose a dinnerware pattern with a similar border or a specific decorative motif that runs across different pieces. This unifying element will create harmony and cohesion in your table setting.
Mixing different shapes and sizes of ceramic dinnerware adds visual intrigue and dimension to your table setting. Combine round plates with square or rectangular dishes, or mix larger dinner plates with smaller salad plates and appetizer plates. Experiment with bowls of various sizes and depths to create a dynamic and layered look.
The interplay of different shapes and sizes will contribute to an aesthetically pleasing and visually balanced table arrangement.
Texture and finish play a crucial role in creating an interesting and tactile table setting. Ceramic dinnerware comes in a wide range of finishes, from glossy and smooth to matte and textured.
Experiment with different textures and finishes to add depth and visual contrast to your table and even consider adding in a table runner for unique style.
For example, pair a smooth, polished plate with a textured bowl or a matte-finished mug with a glossy dessert plate over a burlap, linen, or satin runner. The combination of different textures will make your table setting visually captivating and unique.
Speaking of table runners, to elevate your mixed and matched ceramic dinnerware, layering with linens and accessories is key. If you currently have a set of all the same color, use tablecloths, runners, or placemats that complement the color scheme to enhance the overall aesthetic.
Add contrasting or coordinating napkins, napkin rings, fresh flowers, and centerpieces to further enhance the visual impact for eye-catching dinner parties. These additional layers and accessories will tie the ceramic dinnerware together and create a cohesive and stylish table arrangement.
Mixing and matching ceramic dinnerware is a delightful way to express your creativity and infuse your personal style into your table settings. By following our few tips to embrace colors, patterns, shapes, sizes, textures, and finishes, you can create visually captivating and unique table arrangements that leave a lasting impression on your guests.
Remember, the key is to strike a balance between cohesion and variety, ensuring that there is a unifying element that ties the different pieces together. Unleash your creativity and have fun as you embark on the journey of creating stylish and dynamic table settings with mixed and matched ceramic dinnerware.

]]>Ceramic tableware, with its timeless beauty and versatility, has emerged as a popular choice for those seeking ethical, eco friendly dinnerware options.
If you're in the market for sustainable dinnerware, read on to explore the benefits of ceramic tableware and discuss how it aligns with the quest for a greener future.
One of the key advantages of ceramic tableware is that it is crafted from renewable and natural materials.
Ceramics are typically made from clay, which is abundant and easily accessible. By choosing ceramic tableware, you opt for a sustainable alternative to tableware made from non-renewable materials like plastic or disposable paper.
Compared to other materials, the production of ceramic tableware has a relatively low environmental impact. Ceramic products are fired at high temperatures in kilns, requiring less energy compared to other manufacturing processes.
Additionally, many ceramic artisans and manufacturers now prioritize environmentally friendly practices and eco friendly materials by using energy-efficient kilns and minimizing water usage.
Ceramic tableware is known for its durability, which contributes to its sustainability. When properly cared for, ceramic dishes and utensils can last for years, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Sustainable dinnerware brands know this longevity significantly reduces waste generation and promotes a more sustainable lifestyle.
Unlike materials such as plastic, ceramic tableware is biodegradable. Few ethical dinnerware brands would ever consider wasteful materials like plastic.
When a piece eventually reaches the end of its lifecycle, ceramic products can be broken down naturally over time. This ensures that they do not contribute to the growing problem of plastic pollution and waste accumulation in our landfills and oceans.
Many ceramic tableware products are handmade by skilled artisans, adding a unique and artistic touch to your dining experience.
By supporting these artisans, you contribute to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship, promote the use of recycled materials, and help sustain local economies.
Ceramic tableware is generally safe to use for food and beverages. High-quality ceramics are free from harmful chemicals like lead and cadmium, which can leach into our food from certain types of tableware.
By opting for reputable brands and ensuring the products meet safety standards, you can enjoy your meals without worrying about potential health risks.
Choosing sustainably sourced materials over plastic dinnerware can disrupt the dinnerware industry into creating more eco friendly dinnerware options.
Ceramic tableware is a conscious decision that aligns with the commitment to protecting the environment, using sustainable materials, and embracing ethical choices.
From renewable materials and minimal environmental impact to longevity and biodegradability, ceramic tableware offers numerous benefits. By opting for ceramics over plastic plates, you not only invest in quality and aesthetic appeal but also contribute to a greener future.
Next time you set your table, consider the impact your choice of tableware can have. Let eco friendly tableware be a reflection of your values and a step towards a more sustainable and ethical lifestyle.
Yes, ceramic plates are considered eco-friendly due to their use of renewable and natural materials, minimal environmental impact during production, durability, and biodegradability.
One of the most eco-friendly alternatives to plastic tableware is tableware made from natural and biodegradable materials. These materials are renewable, require minimal processing, and break down naturally, reducing the environmental impact compared to plastic. Additionally, opting for reusable tableware like ceramic, stainless steel, or recycled glass can be a sustainable choice as they eliminate the need for single-use plastics.

]]>When shopping for ceramic tableware, you are likely to encounter two distinct categories: machine-made and handmade items. Each has its own unique characteristics and charm.
In this blog post, we will explore the differences between artisanal handmade ceramics and mass-produced ceramic tableware, highlighting the qualities that make each option appealing.
Handmade ceramic tableware is a testament to the skill and creativity of artisans. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these handmade products are created using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Here are some key aspects that set artisanal ceramic tableware apart:
Each piece has its own unique style, bearing the marks of the artisan's touch. Variations in glaze, shape, and design add character and individuality to the tableware.
Artisans employ their expertise and honed techniques to create tableware with exceptional quality. The attention to detail and dedication to craftsmanship result in pieces that exude authenticity and a sense of heritage.
Purchasing handmade ceramic tableware establishes a direct connection with the pieces produced by the artisan and their craft. Knowing the story behind each piece adds depth and meaning to the dining experience.
Machine-made ceramic tableware, on the other hand, is manufactured on a larger scale using industrial processes stemming from the industrial revolution. While it may lack the individuality of handmade pieces, mass-produced tableware has its own advantages:
Machine production ensures the same amount of consistency across each piece, making them visually harmonious when used as a set. This uniformity and quality control can be desirable for formal occasions or if a matching set is preferred.
Mass-produced, machine-made products are generally more affordable and widely available. The efficiency of large-scale production enables lower costs, making it accessible to a broader range of consumers.
Machine-made ceramic tableware often embraces contemporary designs, incorporating sleek lines and innovative shapes. This versatility allows for a wider range of choices to suit different personal styles and aesthetics.
Whether you opt for handmade or machine-made ceramic tableware, each choice has its own appeal.
Artisanal ceramic tableware offers a touch of tradition, craftsmanship, and uniqueness that can elevate the dining experience.
On the other hand, mass-produced ceramic tableware provides consistency, affordability, and modern design options that cater to different preferences and practical needs.
Ultimately, the decision between handmade and machine-made ceramic tableware comes down to personal taste, the occasion, and the desired atmosphere. Both options have their merits and contribute to the rich and diverse world of ceramic artistry.
Whichever you choose, embracing the beauty of ceramic tableware adds a touch of elegance and art to every meal.

]]>In this blog, we'll provide some tips and tricks on how to care for your ceramic tableware.
Unlike most porcelain dinnerware, ceramic tableware is often dishwasher safe, but hand washing is the best way to extend its life. To wash dinnerware by hand, gently rub the dish with warm water and a mild detergent soap. Once your dishes have been hand washed, you can then dry them with paper towels or another non-abrasive dish towel.
Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or scrubbers, which can damage the glaze or decoration on the ceramic. Also, avoid soaking the dishes for too long, as this can weaken the glaze.
When not in use, store your ceramic dinner plates and tableware in a dry, dust-free place to prevent scratch marks. Use plate racks or shelves to avoid stacking, as when you stack plates it can lead to chipping or scratching.
Also, avoid storing heavy items on top of the dishes, which can cause the same cracking or breakage as when you stack dinnerware. If you do need to store dishes on top of each other, consider placing a rubber mat, a paper towel, or foam separators between the plates to help distribute weight evenly.
Proper use and handling of ceramic dinnerware is crucial to ensure its longevity and beauty.
When using ceramic dishes, it's important to avoid exposing them to sudden changes in temperature, such as placing hot dishes directly on a cold surface or transferring them from the refrigerator to the oven without allowing them to come to room temperature first. This can cause the ceramic to expand or contract, leading to cracks or breakage.
Using wooden, plastic, or silicone utensils instead of metal ones on ceramic dishes can help prevent scratches and damage to the glaze. Metal utensils can leave marks on the surface of ceramic dinnerware, which can be difficult to remove and can even cause the dishes to crack or break over time.
Wooden, plastic, and silicone utensils are gentle on ceramic and less likely to cause damage, making them a better choice for everyday use. Additionally, using non-metal utensils can help extend the life of your ceramic dinnerware and keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
If you notice staining on your ceramic tableware, try soaking it in a mixture of warm water and vinegar or baking soda. These natural ingredients can help remove stains without damaging the glaze.
Avoid using bleach or other harsh chemicals, as they can weaken the glaze and damage the decoration.
Another benefit over porcelain or antique dinnerware is the ability to repair your ceramic tableware yourself. If your ceramic dishes do get chipped or cracked, don't worry. There are ways to repair it.
A ceramic repair kit can be used to fill in chips and cracks, but be sure to follow the instructions carefully. If the damage is severe, you may need to replace the dish altogether.
In summary, to care for your ceramic tableware, hand wash with a mild dish soap, store in a dry, dust-free place, handle with care, remove stains with natural ingredients, and repair chips and cracks as needed.
By following these tips and tricks, you can enjoy your beautiful ceramic tableware for years to come.
Proper care of ceramic dinnerware is important to keep it looking its best and to ensure that it lasts a long time. Here are five steps for a proper ceramic dinnerware care routine:
Handwash with mild soap and water: To prevent damage, it's best to handwash ceramic dinnerware with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that can scratch or damage the glaze.
Dry thoroughly: After washing, be sure to dry ceramic dinnerware thoroughly with a soft cloth or towel. Leaving it wet or damp can cause water spots or damage to the glaze.
Store carefully: When not in use, store ceramic dinnerware in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid stacking dishes too high, as this can cause them to scratch or chip.
Handle with care: When handling ceramic dinnerware, be gentle and avoid banging or clanging dishes together. This can cause chips or cracks.
Address damage promptly: If you notice any chips, cracks, or other damage to your ceramic dinnerware, address it promptly. Damaged pieces can be more prone to cracking or breaking, and can also be more difficult to clean properly.

]]>Tableware has been around for centuries, with its origins dating back to ancient times. From the earliest times, humans have used tableware to serve food and drinks. In the past, tableware was made from various materials such as wood, clay and bone china.
Today, tableware is made from a variety of materials such as stainless steel, porcelain, ceramic and glass. Each material provides its own unique characteristics that make it suitable for different types of dining tables. For example, bone china is ideal for serving dessert plates or salad plates for special occasions while ceramic is well suited for everyday use.
No matter what material is used to make it, tableware has been an important part of dining culture since ancient times. It serves not only as a practical tool but also as an expression of style and elegance.
In this article, we will explore the history of tableware from its origins to its modern-day popularity.
Historians have been unable to determine the exact time the spoon was invented, but archaeologists can point to evidence around 1000 B.C. of spoons from Ancient Egypt, made from wood, ivory, flint, and stone, and adorned with hieroglyphics or religious symbols.
These utensils and table ware were strictly owned by Pharaohs or other deities and were used to eat food, as well as for decorative purposes. Spoons were made from a variety of materials, such as wood, ivory, and metal. The shape and design of spoons varied depending on the purpose they served. In addition to spoons, ancient Egyptians also used other materials like shells and stones as table decorations.
Louis XIV, the Sun King of France, had a lasting impact on tableware design. During his reign in the 17th century, he established a court at Versailles and set the standard for French court life. As such, he had an influence on the style of tableware used in his court for special events and daily use alike.
Tableware during this period was often made with matching sets of such items as plates, cups, and cutlery. These items were often decorated with symbols associated with Louis XIV's courtly lifestyle. The popularity of these items spread throughout Europe and even today we can still see many designs that were inspired by Louis XIV's reign for sale or collection in the American market.
Taking tea is an English institution that has been around for centuries. It's a ritual of taking time out of the day to relax and enjoy a cup of tea with friends and family. The service à la russe, which originated in France, is the most recognizable way to take tea in England. This involves multiple courses being served at once, often on fine porcelain ware.
The taking of tea has been part of English culture since the 16th century and is still popular today. Whether it be a formal high-tea or an informal get together with friends, taking time for tea is an essential part of British life that has required tableware worthy of the event for centuries.
Antique tableware has a long and fascinating history that dates back to ancient times. It is believed that the first tableware was used by the ancient Greeks, who used it to serve food and decorate their dining tables.
Over the centuries, tableware evolved in different cultures around the world, with Japanese china being particularly popular in recent times.
Today, antique tableware is highly sought after for its unique style and craftsmanship. Whether it’s for serving food or decorating a dining table, antique tableware can add a touch of elegance to any home.

]]>A casual dinnerware set can still be beautiful, timeless, and even retain its value. Ceramic tableware can bring new life to a table setting in the form of pure white dinnerware or colored dinnerware while still being dishwasher safe and durable enough for everyday use.
Below, we'll discuss the difference between a few common dinnerware materials to help you choose the set that's right for your home.
Dinnerware material is an important aspect when buying dinnerware. China is often considered the choice for more formal gatherings, while porcelain is appropriate for everyday use, but what is the difference between these two materials?
Porcelain is a type of ceramic. The strength, and translucence of porcelain, relative to other types of pottery, gives it its defining features.
Porcelain can be divided into three main categories: hard-paste, soft-paste and bone china. The category that an object belongs to depends on the composition of the paste used to make the object and the firing conditions.
Bone china, often thought of as the first choice for formal dinnerware, is composed of natural materials and is more resilient compared to porcelain due to the addition of bone ash in its raw materials.
In the United States, a clay body must contain at least 25 percent bone ash by weight to be classified as bone china. There's very little practical difference between the appearance and function of contemporary fine china and porcelain, and the two terms are often used interchangeably by manufacturers.
As discussed above, the bone ash in bone china makes it stronger than its porcelain counterpart, and therefore a better choice for dinnerware sets. Bone china is even microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe.
However, before you invest in a bone china set for your next dinner party, consider ceramic. Ceramic, like bone china, is extremely durable and resilient, while also requiring a lower up front investment.
As with any purchase, budget should be your first consideration when choosing dinnerware type. The best dinnerware for your home includes not only a beautiful dinner plate or soup bowl, but something that can be fully enjoyed without reservations about how much it cost.
Will your set be used for Christmas dinner or taco Tuesdays? The occasion for which your dinnerware will be used will help to determine the budget, style, and type of set will be the best fit.
Beautiful plates can quickly become unusable if they're constantly chipping. A delicate set may have a place in special occasions, but will inevitably go underused if hand washing isn't an enticing part of your daily routine.
Pristinely white or colorfully hand painted, dinnerware comes in a wide variety of aesthetically pleasing styles. By choosing a set that will accompany both your home and intended use, you can get the most out of your tableware.
Size, both in the quantity of dinnerware desired and diameter of each piece, will play a role in your decision as well. Keep in mind your family size and amount of available storage space before settling on your table setting.
We hope our five helpful tips make your journey to the perfect dinnerware set ! HF Coors has been in the business of making hand painted ceramics since the early 1900s, with a large selection drinkware, bowls, butter plates, platters, and more, HF Coors has the dinnerware for any occasion.

]]>The right tableware should be beautiful, durable, and safe. When running a restaurant, you have a thousand plates spinning at all times (pun intended). The last thing you want to be worried about is finding a salad plate that's lead free and won't break in the dishwasher.
Luckily, there's HF Coors dinnerware offering place settings complete with mugs, bowls, serving dishes and more all at a local store with factory store efficiency.
Perhaps the most important aspect of your dinnerware set, the material from which it's made will dictate longevity of use.
There's a reason why ceramic remains classic. The porous clay underneath the glaze helps ceramic retain heat, making a thick ceramic plate a perfect place for warm food.
While being durable enough to withstand high temperatures, ceramic is a fraction of the cost of other oven safe materials, such as porcelain and cast-iron, and remains a kitchen favorite due to its beauty and versatility.
Running a restaurant is expensive. Replacing broken dinnerware is pricey and the upfront cost of dinnerware supplies can be staggering.
As mentioned above, quality ceramic tableware is a good choice for both durability and price. It tends to be the perfect blend of style, heavy duty, and cost to fit perfectly within a restaurateur's budget.
What look fits best within your restaurant? Whether you offer a multi-course dining experience or more casual fare, HF Coors makes dinner sets to match any style. Combining elegance and durability, all HF Coors dinner sets are designed with restaurant use in mind.

]]>Whether you're gearing up for the holidays or want to add a touch of class to your everyday dining routine, knowing how to properly set a table can set a tone for each and every gathering.
What used to be common knowledge can now be a way to impress your guests! In this post, we're working from the top piece down to create the perfect dinnerware set stack for any occasion.
If salad is included with your dinner plans, it is typically the first dish eaten. For this reason, set the salad plate on top of your main plates. If you want to feel fancy for special occasions by adding a fork just for salad, place that salad fork to the left of the dinner fork. Place the knife to the right of the dinner plate and then set the spoon to the right of the knife.
This kind of place setting is considered casual enough for everyday use, with just enough plates for a salad and main course. If you wish for the salad to be eaten at the same time as the main course, you might consider placing the salad dish as a side plate as opposed to on top of your dinner plates.
Your dinner plate is the center piece for your setting. Whether you're looking for a handmade look with hand thrown pieces, or the pristine look of polished white plates, there are many affordable options to consider, even for a more luxurious seven piece set.
Place the dinner plate in the center of the table setting. The fork is placed to the left of the plate. Place the knife to the right of the dinner plate and then set the spoon to the right of the knife. Set the water glass in the top right corner, above the knife.
Keep in mind that if you are also serving a salad or starter separately, the dinner plate will be placed under the salad plate.
Whether your meal is four course or more open bowl concept, HF Coors make your go to dinner sets to match any style. Both elegant and sturdy, and HF Coors dinner set is designed with both personal and commercial use in mind. Find dinnerware, drinkware, platters, collectables and more on our website. All certified ceramic and all made in the USA!

HF Coors manufactures unique dinnerware and beautiful place settings for both individuals and wholesale customers in Tucson. Our dinnerware includes a variety of dishes, including bowls, mugs, drink ware, platters, plates, and more!
Lead where you eat? No thank you! Lead has been banned in everything from gasoline to paint, but, believe it or not, lead is still present in many commercial dishes.
The FDA does not require dishes to be lead-free but rather "lead-safe". At HF Coors, we like to go above and beyond and account for even the smallest traces of lead to ensure our product is truly lead-free.
All of HF Coors ceramic pieces in store and online are lead-free. We do not put lead in any of our clay or glazes, and our ceramic pieces surpass CA Prop 65 as well as FDA standards.
Cadmium is a soft, malleable, bluish-white metal found in zinc ores.
The glaze colors orange and red cannot be made without cadmium. But the safety of our dinnerware is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, HF Coors only uses what is called “encapsulated cadmium”.
The cadmium is encapsulated in non-toxic Zircon crystals rendering it impossible to leach out of the crystals, even during firing at more than 2000 degrees Fahrenheit in our kiln!
Each year, HF Coors, and many of our commercial clients, have our ware tested for lead and cadmium by independent laboratories across the country. Our CEO has even taken the time to review the red and orange glazed dinnerware that had been used daily by his family of four for 5 years.
All lab tests, whether of freshly made dinnerware or of pieces used for many years, have always shown “none detected” for lead and cadmium, and they meet or surpass CA Prop 65 and FDA standards.
One reason a company might generally choose to offer lead laden pieces for sale is because of the durability it provides. However, if your services include food preparation for customers, it's better to be safe than sorry.
Get durability and functionality with HF Coors dinnerware which is lead-free, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
We're able to accomplish this through firing our pieces in a high-temperature kiln. Once treated, our pieces are microwave, freezer, oven, broiler, and dishwasher safe.
If you visit our site, you'll be greeted with a homepage full of colorful dish ware.
If you're looking for a sign to start your collection of beautiful ceramics, look no further! HF Coors has been in the business of making hand painted ceramics since the early 1900s, with a large selection drink ware, bowls, platters, and more, HF Coors has the dinnerware for any occasion.

]]>Did you know that quality ceramic dishes are some of the most valuable pieces you can own? Ceramics fall into many categories, from display pieces and accessories, to everyday dinnerware. Collecting them can even be a business in its self!
If you’re unsure of where to start when understanding how ceramic differs from similar technologies of curating, or how a decorated dinner set can double as a piece of art, read on for more.
How does one create ceramic? Ceramics are generally made by taking mixtures of clay, earthen elements, powders, and water and shaping them into desired forms. Once the ceramic has been shaped, it is fired in a high temperature oven known as a kiln. Often, ceramics are then covered in decorative, waterproof, paint-like glazes.
All china is ceramic, but not all ceramic is china, and china is not porcelain! Porcelain is fired at a hotter temperature, which makes it sturdier than china. Fine china weighs substantially less than an equivalent ceramic dinnerware piece, making it significantly less durable and more meant for display and special occasions.
Bone china, also composed of natural materials, has better strength and resilience compared to porcelain with the addition of bone ash to its raw materials.
In the United States, a clay body must contain at least 25 percent bone ash by weight to be classified as bone china. There's very little practical difference between the appearance and function of contemporary fine china and porcelain, and the two terms are often used interchangeably by manufacturers.
Not only can a beautiful design of green, blues, reds and more add a world of color to your dinnerware, it can also add a world of value!
Registering for dinnerware may seem like a thing of the past, but many new couples aren't taking into account the lasting impact investing in quality ceramics can have. Those on the search for ceramic toys and collectables know how to look for items that remain true a time period or are timelessly beautiful. The same can apply to timeless dinnerware as well.
What makes ceramic dinnerware a prime choice is its combination of durability, versatility, and beauty that, with proper care, will retain and grow its value for generations to come.

]]>While known for their durability and versatility, not all ceramic dish sets are created equal. Below we will discuss the proper use and care of ceramic baking dishes.
Ceramic dinnerware is made of clay and hardened by high heat or fire. This process alone helps make ceramic heat resistant. However, many glazes used to coat ceramic dish ware are not oven safe. For this reason, you should check with your dinnerware supplier before placing a ceramic plate in the oven.
Want the ease of microwave safe dishes without all the toxic, melting plastic? At HF Coors, all of our ceramic plates and dishes are oven safe, microwave safe, and broil safe. Our dinnerware is heated at high temperatures to prevent the dreaded ceramic crack even in a very hot oven. As an added bonus, our dishes are also freezer and dishwasher safe.
While fine china is also heated to high temperatures, it is not oven, microwave, and certainly not dishwasher safe. China is made up of clay, kaolin, feldspar, and quartz. It’s fired in a kiln and it almost always needs to be hand-washed due to its delicacy.
Usually known for being "fancy" there's a reason why grandma only brought out the family china on special occasions. While it may be beautiful, it is impractical and poorly suited for daily use.
Always hand wash
Use a lemon juice and salt mixture only (no harmful dish soaps)
Use warm, but not hot water to rinse
Never stack china dishes in the sink
Individually wrap china when stored
Fine china, including bone china, is susceptible to thermal stress due to their characteristic thinness. Care should be taken with a heated plate made of ceramic as well (hot pads are encouraged), but you're much more likely to find oven safe plates made of ceramic.
Did you know that archeologists have uncovered human-made ceramics that date back to at least 24,000 BC? There's a reason why ceramic remains classic. The porous clay underneath the glaze helps ceramic retain heat, making a thick ceramic plate a perfect place for warm food.
While being durable enough to withstand high temperatures, porcelain is a fraction of the weight of other oven safe materials, such as cast-iron, and remains a kitchen favorite due to its beauty and versatility.
Stack with care by inserting a paper towel between items
Utilize in conjunction with wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching
Remove metal marks with cookware and cleanser Polish
Do NOT use on a stove top burner
Avoid impact. Handle with care
While generally much easier to care for than delicate china, ceramic dishes are still breakable and should be handled accordingly.
Thermal shock refers to suddenly changed thermal stresses when the heat flux and component temperature gradient change abruptly. Thermal shock produces cracks as a result of rapid component temperature change, or, in other words, a shattered plate in the oven.
If cold food comes into contact with a heated ceramic plate it will likely be fine, but placing freezing food into an oven-hot dish is another story. Here are a few basic tips to keep in mind to avoid thermal shock:
At HF Coors, our pieces are all microwave and oven safe.
Generally, it's a good idea to avoid sudden temperature changes, like a casserole dish full of cold food going into an already heated oven. Instead, place your empty ceramic dish in the oven while it's preheating.
It's best not to put piping hot dinnerware into a cold fridge. Let the dish instead come down closer to room temperature before storing.

HF Coors is a veteran-owned, small business dinnerware manufacturer located in Tucson, Arizona. All of our dinnerware sets and pieces are lead-free, restaurant quality, and 100% American made.
Each piece of a bone china table setting contain must contain at least 30% bone ash in order to qualify as "bone china".
The bone ash enables extremely thin pieces to be made with a more transparency compared to porcelain, while still allowing for chip resistance and durability.
Fine bone china is thinner and lighter in weight than porcelain, but is generally not considered appropriate for everyday use and instead reserved for special occasions.
A bone china dinner plate or salad plate may be chip resistant, but would not be considered microwave safe or dishwasher safe.
Unlike bone china place settings, porcelain dinnerware is durable enough for baking and everyday use, while still being light weight and beautiful, making it the material often chosen for the best dinnerware sets.
Further benefits of porcelain dinnerware sets include:
While making porcelain from white kaolin clay, it is heated at very high temperature which makes it microwave safe and also makes the surface smooth and glass like.
The long lasting non stick surface prevents the food from sticking to the surface of the porcelain pan.
Unlike the potential leaching of formaldehyde into food that can come with porcelain alternatives such as melamine dinnerware, high-quality porcelain is made of all natural materials and is safe.
Quality porcelain dinnerware is suitable to be used in everything from salad plates to bowls and mugs. When heated in the microwave or baking oven, minor scratches and scrapes disappear.
Replace your black, dingy cast-iron with the attractive and sturdy porcelain. HF Coors high quality porcelain comes in array of colourful and vibrant designs with personal style in mind.
While hand-painted designs may require hand-washing, they are sure to enhance the esthetics of a place setting. HF Coors offers customizable, hand-painted dinnerware in store and online. Our dishes come in many designs, ranging from casual to fancy and everything in between.
At HF Coors, we pride ourselves in providing high quality products and services to our customers. All of HF Coors ceramic pieces are lead-free and our ceramic pieces pass CA Prop 65 as well as FDA standards.

Ceramic pieces are less dense and absorb more water than porcelain, which makes them more suitable for indoor, low-traffic areas. They can be made from a variety of clay types and colors and can be painted before being fired.
Porcelain is also made from clay that has been baked and hardened and is a type of ceramic, but its clay makes it denser and more durable.
Though the two are very similar, porcelain tends to be more expensive than ceramic. Both can be used in heavy-duty house wares, such as tile flooring, as well as more delicate items such as dishes and figurines.
Aside from being used as crockery for the dining table, ceramic dishes are also used by many for cooking, baking, and roasting. They are compressible and their non-stick nature makes them easy to clean. Below are a few benefits of ceramic dishware in greater detail.
Ceramic has been proven to be safe for both cooking and serving food. They clay that ceramic dishes are made from is a natural, non-toxic material.
Ceramic is resistant to high temperatures. So, you can serve freshly cooked, sizzling hot food in it. You can also warm up the food in the microwave and unlike plastic, it is not going to melt or leach harmful chemicals into your food.
Ceramic tableware is non-stick and grease-proof. Ceramic's smooth glass texture makes it easier to clean without causing any damage to the tableware. The simple use of soap and water will leave them spotless and as good as new.
Porcelain is just one of the variations of ceramic. The main difference is that the clay used to make porcelain is refined and is hardened at higher temperatures. Both types of dishes are made from a clay mixture that's fired in a kiln, but porcelain dishware is made from more refined clay and it's fired at higher temperatures. This makes it denser.
The main feature of porcelain is translucence. It is usually very white and translucent, meaning you can see light through it.
With its translucence in mind, porcelain is typically reserved for display or special occasions, and is not as well suited for cooking, baking, or roasting.
If you're concerned with the materials used in your dinnerware and their effect on your health, HF Coors has you covered. All of HF Coors ceramic pieces are lead-free. We do not put lead in any of our clay or glazes. Our ceramic pieces pass CA Prop 65 as well as FDA standards.
On top of that, our ceramic dishes are all American made and produced in the USA.

]]>Setting the table properly at home can significantly add to the mood of the meal. You must always find ways to set your table in a way that adds to the atmosphere. For instance, something as seemingly insignificant as a centerpiece or matching 4 piece dinnerware sets can improve your table setup. When choosing a centerpiece, you need to choose something that matches the room. You can also go with a theme that's appropriate for the season. This will show your family and those at the table what you can do about making the meal special. Sometimes it's these small and thoughtful touches that work to make a big difference in the overall mood.
Setting the table at home will do more than just make your meals more enjoyable. By ensuring that everything is organized at the dining table, you will also teach your kids manners. For instance, having matching 4 piece dinnerware sets will make the table look orderly and well thought out. Eating with your children is a good way to show them the proper way to do things in a civilized society. You might not know this, but being able to eat politely and having good conversational skills are essential things that your children need to learn. You may never know who your children will eat dinner with. The table manners you teach them today may save them during dinner with an employer.
Setting the table each time you eat with your family is very important for digestion. This is why you must avoid bouncing up and down and moving around while you are eating. When you are setting the table, you must always try to anticipate the needs of your diners. You can even create a checklist for everyone at the table so that nothing is forgotten.
Setting the table at home has a lot of benefits. If you have some extra time, you can even throw in a cute vegetable garnish to make the plate look prettier. Apart from the looks, a vegetable garnish is also a great way to throw in some extra nutrition. You must always be creative and thoughtful when it comes to setting the table. For instance, instead of using random plates, you can use 4 piece dinnerware sets. It will let people know that you think they are important enough.
]]>You may prepare aspects of a meal separately. Your vegetables may cook separately from your meat, for example. But the goal of the meal is to ensure that all of the flavors work well together. Why not showcase the hard work that you've put into your flavors by stacking your food? Proteins should be placed on top of starches, with sauces acting as a base layer. As you dig into the meal, the food will become smothered naturally in that base layer. You don't need to pile it all on in the beginning.
While you may not be familiar with garnishes, they're a subtle way through which chefs make their meals more impressive. A garnish doesn't add a lot of flavors, but they do add a bit of flair. Citrus can be added to the meal through orange or lemon peel twists, or perhaps zest. Parsley, mint, or cilantro can add an herbal twist. If you really want to get creative, consider edible flowers!
Think about how your dishes will look in terms of color. A salad can be creatively colorful, the leafy greens contrasting with bright tomatoes. Rather than going with standard asparagus, prepare some bright sweet potatoes alongside your steak. Avoid a monochromatic color scheme. That will simply bore people.
Treat your meals like a work of art. You'll be glad you did! Also, it's often healthier to make food at home, with the typical restaurant meal having as much as 60% more calories than a homemade meal. There is also a level of satisfaction that comes from eating food that you've made yourself. You can impress your friends and family with a nice meal.

]]>All dinner sets come with dinner plates. A dinner plate is used for the main meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in formal and informal dining settings. A dinner plate is usually round and 11 or 12 inches across. Most sets have a dessert plate that is about seven inches across. It is a diverse plate that can be used for sandwiches, appetizers, salads, and desserts. Most dinner sets have a small or large cereal bowl that can be used for hot or cold cereal, soup, or even salad. These sets are versatile, and the dishes and bowls can be used for different purposes depending on the type of meal served.
A 16 piece set comes with mugs instead of cups with saucers. The mugs match the pattern of the dinnerware set, and you can serve coffee, tea, other hot beverages, and alcoholic beverages. These sets are ideal for restaurants or family meals and are manufactured in the United States. Dinnerware sets come with three or four pieces per place setting.
Companies also sell additional pieces to go with their dinnerware sets. Large pasta bowls to serve pasta to guests or for a party and large salad bowls that can be used to serve salad for dinner or buffets can be included. Most dinnerware sets have matching pasta bowls and salad bowls sold separately. Both large bowls can be used as serving bowls for other types of foods. They can be used to serve vegetables, potatoes, fruit, stuffing, rice, stews, and other items. The 12 piece dinnerware set and the 16 piece set are suited for families of four. Customers can order additional place settings for dinnerware sets as well.
Contact HF Coors to learn more about our dinnerware sets and how they can make your restaurant and family meals more sustainable and festive. We offer a wide variety of colors and patterns!
]]>Eating dinner as a family is a household norm for many people. But did you know it can also have some surprising benefits? Before you sit down for your next meal as a family, here are three things to keep in mind.
One benefit that family dinner time can provide is boosting children's self-esteem. Research has shown that after examining 5,000 teenagers, those who ate with their parents were more likely to exhibit emotional strength and better mental health.
In addition to this, communicating and encouraging your children to tell you about their days, can help show that you value, respect, and listen to them. This can help them feel more secure about themselves, and it can also strengthen family bonds, even as children grow older.
The Jama Network released a study in 2018 which showed that eating dinner together as a family resulted in a healthier diet overall, especially in teenagers. Teens who regularly ate with their families were more likely to consume more fruits and vegetables and fewer sugary drinks and fast food. These results were consistent regardless of how functional the family was in other areas.
In 2015, research published by the College of Family Physicians of Canada released a study that showed regular family dinners had an effect on mitigating problems with eating disorders, violent behaviors, depression, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse. These effects were also slightly more prominent for young female participants. Although family dinners can't solve all problems, they can help reduce the risk of some getting started.
Lastly, family dinners have been shown to help reduce the possibility of weight struggles once children enter adulthood. In a study published by the Journal of Pediatrics, a direct correlation was found between frequent family meal times and reduced obesity or weight issues after 10 years. The study indicated that families should try to sit down together for dinner at least twice a week to help prevent potential weight problems.
Who knew that eating dinner together as a family could have so many benefits? If you currently don't have regular family dinners in your household, consider setting aside sometimes at least a few days a week so that you and your kids can benefit from this time spent together.
]]>Family dinner is an important time for everyone to sit down, talk about their days, and partake in a delicious and healthy meal. Family dinners provide a great opportunity for everyone to come together, bond, and strengthen their relationships. However, meal planning can be tough, and you don't want to end up eating the same thing too many days in a row. Thankfully, there is no shortage of easy and delicious family dinner ideas that you can quickly whip up for your next family meal.
One dinner idea that can please even the pickiest of eaters is these lemon garlic parmesan chicken tenders. Baked, crispy, and easy to make, these will be some of the best homemade tenders you've ever had.
To get started, you'll need a few simple ingredients.
Once you have all the ingredients pulled together, preheat your oven to 400 degrees, and whisk together your egg, oil, lemon juice, and garlic, with some salt and pepper to taste. When everything is mixed, dip your chicken tenders in and let them sit for about five minutes.
While your tenders are sitting, mix together your breadcrumbs and parmesan in another bowl. Once mixed, dip your tenders into the crumbs and press evenly to coat them. When your tenders are thoroughly coated, place them on your greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes on each side. You can broil them for the last two to three minutes to make them extra crispy. If you want, you can also mix together a honey mustard sauce using a 1/2 cup of mayo, 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard, and a 1/4 cup of honey.
Once you put this down on the table your family is going to be requesting this for dinner at least once a week!
Spaghetti is a dinnertime classic but this baked spaghetti takes your traditional pasta to a whole other level, and the best part is that it is quick and easy to make!
To make this delicious baked spaghetti, gather the following ingredients.
Once you have all the ingredients, preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and start boiling a pot of water for your noodles. While cooking the pasta, add a tsp of salt to the water and boil until al dente, about eight to 10 minutes.
While the pasta is cooking, start putting together the sauce by simmering it over medium heat. In a separate pan, brown your ground beef and break it into small pieces until thoroughly brown. When the meat is cooked, stir in the heated sauce and stir to mix.
Next, drain your pasta a let it sit to cool for five minutes. While cooling, mix together your ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning. In another bowl, toss together your eggs, parmesan cheese, and cooled noodles.
In your greased baking dish you can then place half of the pasta mixture, evenly distributing it as a bottom layer. Add half of the pasta sauce mix over this and smooth over the noodles before sprinkling half of the cheese atop the sauce. Repeat with the remaining half.
Once everything is layered in your dish, bake covered for 30 minutes and another 10 to 14 minutes uncovered to allow for the cheese to brown. You can let it cool for about five minutes before serving it up to your eagerly waiting family.
Family dinner is one of the most important times of the day, and nothing beats serving up a delicious meal that the whole family can bond over. Both of these recipes are both delicious and easy, and they can even be reheated for an easy left-over meal on your favorite durable dinnerware.
If you're struggling to come up with your next family dinner, give both of these recipes a try and see which one will become your family's next favorite.

HF Coors’ Master Artist, decided one gorgeous Southwest day, to design a dinnerware set reflecting the inspiration he received from Sedona, Arizona.
All the richness of Oak Creek Canyon’s unique coloring can be found here, from the rich sandstone browns and reds to the bright blues and golds of the turquoise and copper mineral veins that are seen in exposed boulders. The exterior band of each plate symbolizes Arizona’s vast reservoir of copper, while the interior ring is for the world-famous Sleeping Beauty turquoise that is so prized by collectors. The small green and red dots within the interior turquoise band is the artist’s interpretation of seed pods, representing the determined plant life that grows in the harsh Sonoran Desert.
Each and every piece of HF Coors dinnerware has no-lead; is chip-resistant, restaurant grade and extremely durable. You can even cook on it in the BROILER!
Whether you’re planning to use the Sedona set at home or in a bustling restaurant, our plates are built to last a lifetime.
