The Sonoran Desert collection is a direct tribute to the landscape surrounding the HF Coors factory in Tucson, Arizona. The Sonoran is one of the most biologically diverse deserts in North America -- home to the saguaro cactus, the ocotillo, the palo verde, and hundreds of species of birds, reptiles, and mammals that have adapted to its particular conditions. The pattern captures that landscape in warm earth tones, sweeping brushstrokes, and the iconic silhouettes of desert flora.
Every piece is hand-painted by HF Coors artisans, and no two are exactly alike. The variation is intentional -- it reflects the handmade nature of the work and the fact that the desert itself is never exactly the same from one day to the next. This is a pattern made by people who live in the landscape they are depicting.

Our red and orange glazes require trace cadmium for color, but we only use encapsulated cadmium, safely sealed within zircon crystals so it cannot leach or transfer into food.
