What Is HF Coors?
HF Coors is an American ceramic dinnerware manufacturer serving restaurants, hospitality teams, institutions, and homes. The company makes its dinnerware in Tucson, Arizona.
Where Did HF Coors Begin?
Herman Frederick Coors founded the H.F. Coors China Company in Inglewood, California, in 1925 to manufacture dishes for restaurants and institutional use. Herman was the son of Adolph Coors and had previously managed the family’s ceramics business in Colorado.
How Is HF Coors Connected to Earlier Coors Ceramics?
The family’s ceramics history predates HF Coors. John Herold established the Herold China and Pottery Company in Golden, Colorado, in 1910. The Adolph Coors Company acquired that business in 1914, and Herman F. Coors later managed it. Herman then established the separate H.F. Coors China Company in California in 1925.
When Did HF Coors Move to Tucson?
Catalina China, Inc. acquired HF Coors’ assets and moved production from California to Tucson in 2003.

Community Involvement
Donations of dinnerware help raise funds for: Thunderbird Charities – assisting children and families and improving the quality of life in our communities through “Raising the Roof at Phoenix Children’s Hospital”, Miracle League of Arizona, Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament, and purchasing specialty sports wheel chairs; TRAK, whose mission is to strengthen kids & the community through animal interaction; and many more.
Whether providing platters for children to paint and auction off at their school fundraiser, hand painting a pattern for the Southern AZ Food Bank including their logo, or creating commemorative dinnerware for a local dude ranch’s anniversary, HF Coors is proud to get involved with the community.
