About the Blue Bayou Artisan Glaze

Blue Bayou is a artisan glaze that reacts in the kinln, meaning the colors develop and shift during the kiln firing process. Unlike standard glazes that produce uniform results, a reactive glaze liek our artisan interacts with the heat and atmosphere inside the kiln, creating organic transitions between colors. The result is a surface with real depth and movement that you can see and feel.

Our proprietary clay body is vitrified at high temperatures to create a completely non-porous surface that will not craze, stain, or absorb flavors over time.

Chip-resistant construction tested to withstand years of daily use.

Safe for: Microwave, dishwasher, oven, broiler, and freezer. Can go from freezer to oven after being brought to room temperature.

Due to the nature of glazes and finishing techniques, each piece is one of a kind. The layering of sage green, deep navy, and warm terracotta colors will vary slightly from mug to mug. This is not a defect. It is what makes each piece yours.
